Went to Barkhamstead the other day to walk their trail, just a couple people there. I got as far as the sidewalk and tripped and fell. We have all done that and a million things seem to go through your mind. I thought I had smashed my knee up and my thought was- oh no, I can't go to the hospital!!. Of course it wasn't any worse than a banged up knee, hand and shoulders.
Sooo, I do worry about all of the non virus injuries and illness that people will have and our system might not be there for us.
Soooooo, everyone be careful, take your meds (a whole other subject) and be extra good to yourselves.

Last week, we did our shopping at HEB (the big Texas chain) at 3 p.m. on Saturday - In and out, about 45 minutes, no lines. They were out of some things, like TP, the cheap frozen veggies and hand sanitizer, but the only things unavailable that we normally buy were canned beans and tomatoes for chili. Speaking with a couple buddies who used to or still work at grocery stores, getting there when they open increases your chances of getting those goods that they've been running out of, but if you don't need them, just go later in the day.

Run on paper towels pisses me off a lot more than toilet paper. With two dogs and three cats, I'm always cleaning stuff with paper towels. I take one shit per day. I'll run out of paper towels before I do TP.

If you're going to be cleaning surfaces as we are advised, paper towels are just as essential as TP.

I mean, businesses close and are replaced by new ones. You're on a message board where almost all of us have transitioned from sports writing to other gigs. We can do other shit in the future. I'd rather that, then have to deal with like, my parents dying because their local hospital was overflowing. My fiancee (30s) and my niece (3) have medical conditions that make this especially dangerous for them - I'm glad that most people are being reasonable about quarantining and working from home.

Bread flour and all purpose were out at big y, shoprite. and aldis.
We recently started to try baking (watching the great british baking show made me think I could do it, I can't) so we had some flour to begin with I am a terrible cook but will be making bread with the bread machine.

Never thought about Costco's giant bags of flour. Maybe next time.

My future is retirement. I'd kind of like . . .

--- The money promised to me to still come.
--- The money I've saved to be worth something.

Well, technically, if you have no income, you can give zero and say it's 10% of your income. That should make him happy, right?
