My wife’s university is having everyone work from home starting Monday. That’s thousands of people from one institution.

Last night she brought home from her office a small bottle of hand sanitizer, the first I’ve seen in weeks and weeks.

Our kids are enjoying the time off right now, but it’s going to get old for them, too. School is supposedly opening on April 9. I doubt it reopens this school year because we just had our town’s first virus death three days ago. It’s going to get much worse.

 

I sincerely hope he and his loved ones are free from this. But the truth is that we don’t know whether we are “panicking” and we may never know. Experts — whom Trumpists hate because of the experts’ generally superior intellect , among other reasons — essentially say it’s best to undertake steps that look like overreactions.
