I have friends that are stitching together masks and others doing go fund me's to provide protective equipment for hospitals. We pay more for healthcare than any other country in the world - and we're relying on Grey's Anatomy, Chicago Med and prop departments of other shows to make up for the shortfall? This is nuts. Surely there is some national healthcare emergency playbook that had this contingency on it. Surely the HMOs can cut their margins five or six percent to cover the shortfall - that's their job isn't it? Managing healthcare?
