Well, 63 million people sure drank the Kool-Aid in 2016.

How the foundational strains of Trump's "character" are wreaking so much havoc now: his criminality (which drives him to recklessly pursue any avenue that could keep him in office), his greed (which causes him to prioritize profits over people), his amateurism (which prevents a competent response to the crisis), his ego (not wanting to share the spotlight with medical professionals), his ignorance (misunderstanding the gravity of the situation), his vanity (whining about the media during a global pandemic), his racism (making sure he gets in the Chinese digs to please his white nationalist fanbase), his mendacity (making false claims about the virus and the response), his soullessness (taking glee in the suffering of others), his creepy obsession with his predecessor and his inability to focus.

If you voted for him in 2016, you rolled the dice.

If you vote for him in 2020, you drank the Kool-Aid.

Total roll of the dice. I mean, who could have possibly known that Donald Trump was an uncurious, narcissistic charlatan back in 2016.

A lot of people thought he would sit proudly on his throne and just let all the advisers do the boring policy work.

Remember, dozens HERE kept saying "He doesn't want to be president yada yada yada."

His voters aren't the only ones who kept tuning in and getting a wrong signal.

Go back and read some of this stuff. It's priceless.

Yup. I am certain that @Michael_ Gee, of all people, voted for Donald Trump thinking it was a "roll of the dice."

Some people say, the greatest dice, maybe ever. Vegas doesn't agree, but I'm a big fan of the dice. My gut tells me they're going to be a game changer.

My point was that people see and believe what they want to.

Gee thought (hoped) he was toning it down. People here thought (hoped) he didn't want to be president; ergo, he won't run for re-election. That shit was actually posted here.
