To be fair, Congress can't cure the sick. Its JOB is determining where the money goes and who gets it. And that's a big part of this. People will defy public health practices if the alternative is sudden desperate poverty.

If you live anywhere that gets hailstorms, insurance might replace it for only your deductible.

Couldn't believe it when roofer suggested it to me. Couldn't believe it when insurance company came over and signed off on it.

Not yet. Nearly 80% of cases and deaths are in non-Trumpist states. Even though that figure may decline, it won’t be close to 50-50. This is what he and his klan want.

And some times there is a long period between when the storm is and when the work can get done. Our house, which we've had for seven years, is about to get it's second hail involved roof replacement. Both very necessary though. First was golf ball sized hail for a half hour, second wasn't as long but it was egg sized.

Hail damage? Wow. We hardly ever have hat kind of weather here, except for a 100-year superstorm, Halloween blizzard...wait, hail?

The President is pushing the, "Look - we've done amazing things and we've basically solved this problem. Time to get back to work."

When it backfires, we'll get the, "No one knew that it could flare back up!"

The corporations are going to get their free billions AND get to reopen their doors and generate revenue while also killing off people who either are now or soon will be dependent on government aid like Social Security or would vote to tax them in future.

Man, you have to just applaud what is nothing short of a virtuoso performance by the kleptocracy.
