Muh Muh Muh My Corona (virus)

Idaho's governor, Brad Little, just issued a 21-day "shelter at home" order.

Last I checked, there were about 80-90 cases in the state ... although up north, we're next to Washington, which has quite a few, even in the eastern part of the state by now.

Montana's governor issued restrictions that fell just short of shelter-at-home yesterday.

 

Family of four will see $3,400. One and a half times the average tax refund, which people* also are receiving this month.

Seeing as $3,400 equals three median mortgage payments . . . might that pay some bills?

When you've lost Trumpist governors, ....

 

I'll essentially take my $1,200 and spend most of it on takeout at local restaurants and maybe donate some of it to the various relief funds for local service industry workers.

 

I'd take half our $2,400 and pay our tax bill. But I read somewhere this money won't pay the bills. Sigh.

 

Governor just announced all schools in Mass. are closed until May 4. Also, number of cases went up by more than 50 percent since yesterday. Deaths did not, indicating it's a function of increased testing.

My county has seven cases now. Five of the seven were college students who traveled to New Orleans for spring break. They have all gone home.

 

MEDIAN mortgage payments. I suspect, thanks to places like Bay Area, AVERAGE payment is a few hundred higher.

I just sleep with one. Like it says in the signature.
