There's a Hobby Lobby near my dentist, I'm a hobbyist so I visit twice a year just to look (Barnes & Noble next door). If you're short a neon crucifix on Christmas Eve, that's your place.

Monument Avenue and the Fan is a beautiful ride, especially with no traffic. Take a detour through Three Chopt Tech on the way home, get your hillwork done on Boatwright and Towana drives.

Precisely. I hope it doesn't work.
The actions of the governors -- some of them, anyway -- will step in and save people who would have otherwise died from Trump's willful ignorance.

Tend to stay on Grove and Floyd to avoid the brick streets, not great on a road bike with slim tires. Was thinking about riding through UR today.

Luckily, bike shops are considered an essential business - because my rear derailleur cable snapped yesterday and I don't have the patience to internally route a new one (plus it's good to support a local business). Still felt weird going inside a building besides my home.

My wife's rear derailleur busted dead on Saturday. Luckily, the bike shop was open. It's going to take until mid week to get a new one in. I told her to take it and get it fixed. No way I'm staying quarantined with her pissed off for however long this is going to last.

True that. Drove down it last spring to show my family. Such a pretty drive. Grove reminds me of the old Westhampton Theatre, now gone, and Phil's Continental Lounge, now rechristened as the Continental. The streets by St. Chris are pretty too. You said you were eight minutes from campus, do you live in the near West End area (east of Three Chopt) or our Patterson/ River Road way? I'd kill to live on Westham Parkway near Ridge Road.

Can you fit your bike in your car? Maymont Park/Hollywood Cemetery would be nice. Also, the country roads out past the airport, you could visit Cold Harbor, etc., all the 7 Days battlefields. Cold Harbor has a pretty nice museum, which of course is closed. Gettysburg and Antietam would be great to tour by bike now but they also are probably closed.

I've finally gotten a few rides in after investing in a new seat. A good seat really makes a difference.

Yes, I live in the Near West End, just past where Grove goes over 195. We actually rode through Maymont and Hollywood Cemetery yesterday. Great views of the river. And yes, I can can fit the bike in the back of the CRV no problem. Going to plan a route out in the country this weekend.
