Mrs. BYM2 used to laugh and roll her eyes when I said I wanted to live in a motorhome on top of a mountain to get the fuck away from people. She’s not laughing anymore.

To be honest I don’t think it comes back in the fall with nearly the intensity. It’s so far along now that it will rage like wildfire the next 3-4 weeks and infect close to half the nation before burning itself out. The resulting herd immunity will slow it down in the fall. Plus, the most vulnerable patients will unfortunately be in the ground already.

I have the opposite approach. My thinking is at a time like this I'm damn lucky to live in the medical capital of the world, even if it is a big city.

And you're basing all this on...?

“I don’t think” is a pretty big context clue. I see what’s happening in a number of red states and the half measures taken. I also own a calculator. I have a pretty good (bad) idea what’s coming.

We're all of us pissing in the wind when it comes to predicting this, other than looking at stats and trend lines. Since the general stats are in great part suspect so are the projected outcomes. GIGO.

Immediate bottom line is stats like the number of infected and of deaths continue to double every day or two.

"December 7, 1941. A day that might live in infamy. Might not. They didn't get San Diego, so that's a success. But don't worry folks, I know Japan better than anybody. They have a Great Wall. A big wall. A tremendous wall."

Relating back to my earlier post this morning. I think Trump is and has been miserable since the day after the election.
Think about his old life: he could get up, do a few lines, hit Mickey D's, go play 18, bang a hooker, then go on social media or TV to promote himself. Rinse. Repeat.
Now: He is either forced to pay attention for more than 5 minutes to everything that doesn't interest him or only being allowed to be stuck in a room watching TV while rage tweeting and being denied sex by his wife all for the reward of getting to play golf on the weekends and having a bi-weekly rally. Now, the reward has been taken away.

    We'll see what happens.

Better radio ratings than Charlie McCarthy.

Avoid Las Vegas on your way to the mountains. Gotta keep the nest egg from breaking.
