The better measurement is to see changes over time. These will not be as pronounced in the SEC states because people still have to travel the same distances for groceries, etc., but a map of movement on March 1 vs. April 1 with % differences would still be instructive.

"We didn't know that until the last 24 hours." ??
Well, governor, you and your klan didn't know it because you were too busy following your boy in the White House and playing along with his "this is just the flu" game.
His rhetoric sounds just like Trump's.

And they're living on top of one another in an infected petri dish (70,000+/square mile). But those darn rural Southerners are going to get us all killed.

No, but they'll get each other killed.

Again, the map mostly reflects the unwillingness of those states to limit unnecessary interactions.

Which, at the moment, is the only real weapon we have against the spread of the virus.

Yes, but I'm just not sure how much the metric would change with the restrictions in place. Some, sure. But a grocer or doctor 10 miles away is still a grocer or doctor 10 miles away.

I suspect most of the travel is work-related for businesses that have not been ordered to close. And not people just being insensitive or careless.

Just the way Trump wants it. He's in the pocket of all these industries. In fact, his boy Jared is intimately involved in it to make a profit for himself.

    No one knows.

Which is why reducing the frequency of those trips and interactions is probably important. Otherwise we just keep spreading it.
