Daughter lives in France. Her opinion, government did not blow it at all. Prompt and strict response. French people, who are scofflaws by nature, blew it if anyone did because cultural factors make it hard for them to take social distancing seriously. Still is, in her opinion. Their death and disease rate remain below those of Spain and Italy. Also the UK, where the fucking Prince of Wales and Prime Minister managed to catch it. Nobody's got a perfect record here. Nobody else has a leader who'd rather see us all die than admit he's not perfect either.

 

I firmly believe that if Trump loses in November, he will at least attempt (President has total no checks control of nuclear weapons) to start WW3, because if he goes down he thinks the world deserve to perish. In that case, I only hope a Secret Service agent has the guts and brains to pull the trigger before the order.

Sorry, Alma, can't get behind your thought on this one. He actively had his people block and deny science for two months when we all know it was coming. I know you like to be contrarian, and I enjoy hearing two sides as well. But he fucked this, and he fucked it hard.

I noticed that many posters responded to an intentionally provocative post. A post that proposed a hypothesis posing as a factual conclusion. The responses for the most part reflected a decently well thought out response.

That or he'll enlist mercenaries like Prince to bomb Chicago, Baltimore, San Francisco, Detroit (if he loses Michigan) and other cities.

 

He's already indicated he's willing to punt Michigan and try for a 270-268 electoral win.

 

I wrote this here before — it’s the pull out and pray method of pandemic response. First, it was it can’t happen here, then hot weather, then herd immunity and now this drug. Mixed in with a constant pathological need to blame others and place himself in a perfect light. We are getting the collective response that we deserve.
