No, 100 million cases will be in 4 weeks.

You are swallowing the Trump fallacy of a 1% death rate. It will be way higher than that. As soon as we run out of ventilators and beds like Italy did, survivable cases become fatalities. 1% becomes 10% in the blink of an eye.

So my question: How much LESS spread is there from ordinary breathing vs. "coughing and sneezing"?

Thanks much, OscarMadison. He is. Saw him today and he seems well, as if the procedures he underwent actually have helped him.

That was already explained in the meme by the guy who had faith . . . and still wears a seat belt, locks his doors, etc.

Fear may be better than complacency for a few weeks.

Hospitalization rate of the seasonal flu, 2010-11 to present: 1.56%.
Hospitalization rate of this thing: 7.7%.

What the fuck is wrong with you? There’s nothing in that tweet that says anything that you say it does.

    1) You're assuming this thing keeps doubling every three to four days consistently for the next month. It won't. Over the last four days its gone from 215,000 on April 1 to 338,000 today. It actually doubled from March 30. There's going to be a slowing down of cases if it isn't happening already (Florida, Alabama and Louisiana aside).

    2) The death rate is a helluva lot closer to 1 percent than 10 percent. I'm assuming it's going to be something on the order of 2 or 3 percent when we get better data and real studies.
