The media has done a lousy job of noting the importance of underlying factors in the terrible outcomes on both sides of this pandemic: physically unfit people are more likely to become sick and undereducated are more likely to be crushed economically.
Life choices matter.

 

We should hold our governmental response to the highest of standards not merely that we're doing better than a few others. This is akin to excusing the eroding of constitutional rights because have you seen what North Korea does to it's people? Irrelevant. We're supposed to be better than North fucking Korea.

Our response is better than Italy? I couldn't give two shits. Why are we not better than South Korea?
