    I know this is going to sound totally raycess, but in my suburban LA park near my home Sunday (the park is basically closed), there sat about 7 african american guys my age, in their fifties - it looked like a cookout without food. Two dudes were having a private confab, talking with their faces inches from each other. I haven't seen anything like it this month.

    I keep seeing statistics about it hitting black people hard. I don't know if this is a function of some racial/physiological difference, more cases due to close family living, or of differences in the typical social distancing between the ethnic groups, or what. Dr. Selwyn Vickers, a black Asst. Dean of the UAB Med School, is very concerned and has addressed local black leaders and preachers about how it seems that blacks who catch corona tend to have more severe cases.
