The data seems to point away from doom. Those are bad for Twitter feelings, so certain news organizations say, eh, fuck the data, more people are dying of this than we even know.

Do not underestimate the need for this to be as awful as everyone thought it might be.

The data is incomplete. I would take any data -- positive or negative -- with a grain of salt at this point.

It’s going to impact areas with high population density. Black people live disproportionately in cities in this country. Combine that with Trumpist refusal to make health care equitable and you have the perfect storm. This is what they want.

According to a very interesting segment on Lawrence O'Donnell last night, AA communities are over-indexing for two main reasons: 1) underlying conditions, particularly obesity and (2) they continue to work among the public and not at home.

We're on Page 404 of this thing. File Not Found. Maybe this is all a bad dream.

The data in NY is the data in NY. It's lagging, mostly concrete data.

I worry about the southern states most. And I guess Detroit as a city.

Everyone? I can think of a few people in the White House and Fox News who told us it would be over by now.

Our new press secretary told us the virus wouldn't be here at all because President Trump loves America.

So, yeah, apparently it's much worse than we thought it would be.
