College football 2020 offseason thread

Pat Forde is a big fan of Mike Gundy's plan to start college football on May 1.

Pat hits another one out of the park.
Saint Dabo of the Upstate skated because he has won multiple national titles. Gundy will not be whacked immediately, but this is the sort of thing that might make it easier for him to be terminated if he has another typically mediocre season and loses to OU for the 14th time in 16 opportunities. If, that is, there is a season.

 

And don't forget - TB Pickens is in the ground.

 

Is there anyone who has done less with more than Gundy? Boone Pickens gave the guy basically a brand new stadium and an unlimited budget and has one top five finish to show for it.

 

The last several Texas coaches other than Mack Brown might be strong candidates.

Dabo's silliness is sort of par for the course. He's just a cheerleader that's trying to perfect his "aw shucks" gimmick. He's like Bobby Bowden without the occasional authenticity that Bowden had.
