So you're saying South Dakotans, North Dakotans and Wyomingites should be really concerned.

Trump has put himself in a no-win situation. He doesn’t want wide-spread testing, because the number of cases will rise. But he also wants to re-open the country as soon as possible because the current situation also hurts him politically. He can’t have the second without the first.

    Providing this brilliance:

And getting stuff like this banned for violating Twitter rules: The only way we can become immune to the environment; we must be out in the environment. Quarantining people inside of their houses for extended periods will make people sick!

The country's ability to get its economic engine up and running again depends in part on governors who have long sworn an allegiance to the animal in charge of the circus. They need a semblance of courage.

And because he thinks that re-opening the country will push up the stock market numbers (which he delusionally equates to the overall economy). He’s too stupid to realize that if we re-open too soon there will be a COVID-19 second wave which will make the first wave look like a ripple.

" ... I think the president went out at the beginning of this thing and really was statesman-like, trying to bring people together, working with all the governors, keeping his patience as he got these snarky gotcha questions from the White House media pool."

To paraphrase Jane Alexander from "All the President's Men": "If you guys could get William Barr, that would be beautiful."
