Major news media uses anonymous sources too much. There isn’t any doubt about that.

As for Trump pardons:
An actual government, "We don't recognize those. Oh, the packed SCOTUS made a ruling? Let's see them enforce it."

 

Not really; the NYSE goes on with or without Sprecher. Plus Fatfuck has looted enough money out of the Treasury every day he doesn't give a fuck about the Dow himself.

 

My favorite thing in journalism was management's annual, chest-thumping admonition that decreed, "We don't use anonymous sources." The alleged ban lasted about a week. Or until somebody got a really good story that used anonymous sources.

 

Oh, please. Please stop this fucking bullshit. News media uses anonymous sources no more nor less than they ever have in the fucking 60 years I've been old enough to consume it with some idea of what it's telling me. The reality of the media is a business/societal influence that's been losing both money and influence at an exponential rate, yet you continue to ascribe so much power to it.
