So the “Herd Immunity” reason given now to open the country has its origin from a Stanford professor in ....MILITARY HISTORY (well historian); Yeah fake science. Ridiculous.

Stanford has not draped itself in glory in this crisis.

The UK already abandoned the herd immunity strategy.

The UK is scrambling to correct its coronavirus strategy

We'll certainly get to some threshold of herd immunity eventually, over a period of a year or two or three perhaps, but the idea of letting the virus move through the population with little or no mitigation is lunacy.

Lifting restrictions too soon amounts to the same thing.

In a dispassionate objective view, herd immunity, if medically accurate, is an option. Not a good option. Certainly not a humane option, but a harsh thoughtless option as the path of least work by a chronically lazy president.

What % of people would get the virus without social distancing, survive and be immune?
What % by luck or resistance would not get the virus. And therefore not be immune next season?
It would mean accepting possible 100s of thousands of deaths without a guarantee that those who didn’t die would be immune from COVID-19. Are people who survived SARS, immune to COVID-19?
So even if 180,000,000 get an immunity would that prevent hem from getting COVID-20 or whatever the next strain would be?

    simple solutions for thoughtless people.

So you popped back in to join with the side trying to downplay the impact of COVID-19 and you are questioning the intellect of others? You're funny.
