To be fair, I haven't watched any of his live briefings in a while, but does President Trump even talk about improving testing? Does he even give the idea lip service?

The thing that drives me crazy about the briefings is that when he shouts down/berates a reporter for a question: why don’t the other reporters pick up the mantle and hold him to an answer. It would probably freak him out and drive him off the stage in a huff, and then they could actually get some information from the doctors/scientists

    Quoting my own post! Yay!
Honestly, the reporters at those briefings are like battered spouses who are unable to leave.

Didn’t the woman from CBS do that the other day?

    That's my point.

    We're completely, hopelessly unprepared.

I haven't seen a single briefing. But I gather they are like someone pointing a laser pointer to mess with a cat. Not sure if the press is the cat or the President is.

But once we get to that point, no matter how far in the future it is, if that does not work...

Then, as I've said and said and said, we keep re-infecting each other.

The danger is in relaxing the quarantine too soon. Be patient.

Presumably we get a vaccine in the next 18 months

Yes, let's open the country up right now. Immediately! The cure can't be worse than the disease!
