Gee, my annual physical for today was canceled (without so much as a text or email or phone call). I guess I can take that money and buy lottery tickets, which apparently is more "essential" than a doctor's visit.

The President does not have the authority to adjourn Congress unless the two houses of Congress cannot come to an agreement on the date and time of adjournment themselves.

    Your disingenuousness is tiresome.

Two houses have already agreed on an adjournment date, January 3, 2021. It was a pro forma move every Congress makes.

And that’s what’s driving Trump nuts. He wants them to adjourn now so he can start filling positions with recess appointments. They’ve been having the daily pro forma sessions since Obama’s second term, specifically so Obama couldn’t make recess appointments.

Like most things, it's not the disingenuousness. It's that it steps outside the party line.

Because saying "Wait! I thought only old people on their last legs were dying!" every time the rare middle-age person succumbs to COVID-19 is the height of disingenuousness. And that never seems to be tiresome here. :)

It’s as if these doctors might have other things to do. But god forbid something doesn’t go as planned for @BTExpress .

In the US, something like 20% of deaths are to those under 60, per Scott Gottlieb on a recent National Review podcast (!). And the death rate is level for each cohort between 30s and 60s.

    In Europe, it’s about 5%.

He actually said that it’s a disease most hurting the Middle Aged in the US. (Those over 80 are dying at a much higher rate, but that’s not a surprise with any infection).
