I don't disagree with this, but what's our plan? Where's the blueprint for national testing and tracking?

Where's the proposal for coordinated, incremental returns to business as usual, as is being undertaken in places like Germany or Taiwan?

I'm not going to make this post political, but our federal government has shown no interest in answering any of the questions I just posed.

That's the $20 trillion question, and I don't know. If I did, I wouldn't be schlepping along at a small newspaper hoping I can survive the oncoming storm. I'm not sure there are any good answers, or if anybody has one. All I do know is that we're damned if we do, and maybe doubly damned if we don't.

Not under the then-current governmental guidance.

And not if you were virus-free.

She might have had every reason to WORRY you were putting her life in danger. But the overwhelming odds say you weren't.

It's not easy to wear one when running, let alone cycling. My lungs have been sore since I started wearing one on runs two weeks ago. Today, in order to do without it, I went to a different area of our park off the path and ran in open fields and next to a creek. Had to watch my footing constantly, and it wouldn't work for fast paces, but I only saw 8 people in an hour and didn't come within 10 yards of any of them.

Back atcha (If that was directed at me, then again, I am the ur-being of awkward.) The incident was a while ago. All of us have those stories and feel a degree of filial empathy. I do Medicaid Tx plan compliance, regular talk Tx/check-ins, and an addled-pated experiment in making counseling less scary, all from home.

It's already happening. All I have is anecdotal data, but my little working-class neighborhood has seen more and more people staying home -just not AT home- because their jobs have been put on hold. Last Thursday night, I was awakened at two in the morning by people a street over having a very loud get-together. I went outside to make sure the screamed F-Bombs weren't part of an argument. Nope. They were obviously blowing off steam. This is not typical of my very quiet neighborhood. It might be that people are finally getting that normal as they knew it is not coming back.

New York Pause extended to May 15. Not unexpected. Hopefully things will start to open up little bit after that. Trying to keep my spirit up. Not easy.

My beard should be in fine form by then. More gray than the last time about 15 years ago.

So, we'll have this century's version of the Roaring 20s!

A positive (for me at least): I haven't driven my car in a week. That's been awesome. I've just gone for walks (with and without the dog) around the neighborhood to go outside.

It's been on the bucket list for me to get to a point in my life when I didn't have to drive, because I'm an ultra-aggressive, stressed-out driver who despises the rest of the world when he's behind the wheel (sorry ... it's literally the only thing I do that makes me like that). I figured that point would come when I semi-retired and moved someplace where there's actually public transit. But instead, it's happening in 2020.

So thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic there's one less "asshole behind the wheel" in the Northwest!
