The time is definitely not now.

I wasn’t on the board yesterday and so I have no idea if these have been posted yet. This is another one where I will neither denounce myself nor feel shame.

Testing results from a Boston homeless shelter showed that of 397 people, 146 tested positive for coronavirus. All were asymptomatic. CDC reviewing ‘stunning’ universal testing results from Boston homeless shelter

Testing aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt showed that most sailors who tested positive for coronavirus were asymptomatic. https://taskandpurpose.com/news/uss-theodore-roosevelt-sailors-coronavirus-asymptomatic

There’s a new machine-learning model out based solely on COVID-19 statistics that strongly suggests the current infection plateau will occur in the next week, but that if we come out of quarantine too early there will be a catastrophic second wave. New MIT machine learning model shows relaxing quarantine rules will spike COVID-19 cases – TechCrunch

Is our testing regime — the test itself — garbage that turns up false positives, or are this many people asymptomatic and still shedding virus?

    Stay.
    The fuck.
    Home.

A very important point I want to make first: I am NOT in favor of Duval County opening its beaches for limited hours under heavy restriction. But I also think that writing “Florida opened its beaches” is dangerously inaccurate and stokes unnecessary anger. “Florida opened its beaches” is a way different sentence than “One county opened its beaches under heavy restrictions.”

If you want to be trusted, pinpoint accuracy is essential.

Why is that? You sound like you're in depression, or something. You haven't written or READ in a month? What've you been doing? Are you OK?

Here's the scary thing (saw something like this in one of those "Ask Marilyn" columns a few years back):

PM/DM me if you feel yourself going off the rails.

Hang in there, man. We'll get through it.
