My favorite movie of 2019. Really enjoyable. 1917 was probably the best movie I saw, but FvF was so much more fun.

I can't think of a movie I've ever started watching and not finished at some point. If I'm going to bash it, I want to have a full picture of its shittiness.

I've done it a few times, but only once in the theater. My daughter was six or seven when the crappy remake of Gulliver's Travels with Jack Black came out, so we took her to see it. About halfway through, a fire alarm went off in the theater and they had to evacuate. The theater offered free tickets to come back and see the entire movie, but none of us wanted to see the rest of it. I've moved along very quickly when passing by it on television.

I walked out on Honey, I Blew Up the Kid, but I hate to admit, my kids loved the first movie, so we watched it (and the second sequel) in their entirety. So, while it took me 30 years or so, I checked that one off. :D

The only time I remember walking out of a movie was when I was about 12 years old and went with my friend and his parents (R-rated movie) to see "The Jerk."
No we didn't walk out on "The Jerk," which I enjoyed and still do, but it was the first of a double feature. The second movie was "Cheech and Chong's Up in Smoke." About 10 minutes in, my friend's parents realized what the movie was about and told us "Guys, I think it's time to go." My friend and I didn't really understand or appreciate drug humor at the time, so we left without protest.

The funniest double feature I ever saw was Up in Smoke and Kentucky Fried Movie.

I saw Cheech and Chong live around then. It's a toss-up whether they or Rodney Dangerfield killed me the hardest. They're out there on their hands and knees playing dogs and talking about Fifi, the hot little French poodle, sniffing assholes. Made my ribs hurt.

I watched "Support Your Local Sheriff" (1969), which I had never seen before, kinda weird since I am a huge Rockford Files/James Garner fan.

It was fairly funny, although I had a couple things going on and didn't watch it solid all the way through. But the one thing that absolutely hit me like a brick was that "Blazing Saddles" was almost a complete rip-off of "SYLS," substituting Cleavon Little's bad-ass "dazzling urbanite" for Garner. The plot lines are damn near identical and several scenes are lifted almost shot-for-shot.

At the time it was. Weren't the assault weapon ban and Brady Bill passed about then?

"Cold Brook" on Showtime, sort of a quirky indy film by William Fichtner. Part of it was filmed in my hometown, lot of identifiable landmarks and many familiar character actors/actresses. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I was really intrigued by the idea of a horror movie shot entirely in daylight. But it just kept getting weirder.
