MLB wanted to slash minor league ops before the pandemic began.

 

South Carolina and Georgia governors are preening for their klan leader in the White House and are giving Saint Dabo of the Upstate more reason to fire up This Is Gonna End Real Soon Nation. It's gonna be a pity when the players touch the rock honoring despicable bigot Frank Howard and run down the hill on Sept. 19 (Akron) or Sept. 26 (Virginia) only to notice they don't have an opponent that day.

 

I know it's already happened in other states, but schools are closed in Massachusetts for the rest of the academic year and there will be no spring sports season.

 

I believe there are currently 160 minor league teams -- MLB had proposed to cut that to 120

My bet is next year there'll be about 100.

 

Why haven't other colleges done this? Boise State furloughed the coaching staff.
