Wever played Dr. Denise Cloyd, who was killed with a crossbow bolt to the eye. I looked it up just to be sure.

Run on HBO has surprisingly fun so far, two episodes in.

I'll watch anything with Rhys in it. I hope Keri Russell makes a cameo. That'd be a nice Easter egg.

We are on to Epix’s War of the Worlds miniseries. On Ep 2. Start was very intriguing but it’s slowed down some. Like anything IMHO, need to see WHO are the aliens and WHY. (Contact, Arrival)

It's easy to see how The Outer Banks could be immensely popular with a lot of people.

My gf binged the entire show in a few days. It must be good.

I was so off on this. I am thinking of a few saviors in one of their buildings holding the good guys captive, tied up sitting on the floor. I thought she was one of them. I think it was around the time that they went in proactively to kill the sleeping saviors.
    Thanks for the correction.

No problem. It is easy to mix characters up on a show that has lasted so long with a revolving cast.

I'm halfway through the first season of Star Trek: Picard. I'm really enjoying it even though I had spoiled much of it for myself before the CBS All-Access made the offer to use the service free for a month. (Code is "Gift" if anybody still wants to try it. That offer ends tomorrow.) I like the supporting cast and Patrick Stewart is still great as an older, slightly-broken version of the character that made him a star.

I'm a little disappointed that I won't see the second season, but no way am I paying for another streaming service.

Thanks for this. I may try it. I'm so ready for another Star Trek show, and think a lot of other people would be, too. CBS is missing the boat by not having one on cable TV. I was so ticked that this show and Star Trek: Discovery were made for streaming-only, and have no doubt they would enjoyed good success on regular television. I'd be curious to know if they're considered successfully streamed shows.

As it is, I scratch the itch by catching what I can, and what I feel like watching, among the five-show runs every Sunday-Friday night -- one episode from each of the five primary Star Trek TV series (not including the animated one), run consecutively, in order, on the Heroes and Icons (H&I) station on cable.

FYI: You may know this, but Star Trek: Picard was set up by the recent prequel book "Picard: The Last, Best Hope," by Una McCormack. It's a good one, as McCormack's books usually are, only it leaves you wanting more. Although I suppose that's the goal, of course...

Catching up on Unforgotten, a BBC take on the cold case genre. Nicola Walker is great in everything, but what is noticeable here is that she doesn't get emotionally invested in her cases, she doesn't have inner demons she's trying to work out (which you find on a lot of BBC mystery/cop shows) and there aren't any flashbacks. It's very well done - and each season is only five eps or so.
