Even Arkansas - home to many dry counties - allowed restaurants and liquor stores to start delivering booze.

We've started coordinating orders with our neighbors so the driver from the biggest liquor store only has to make one trip per week.

That's a real good idea. The liquor store we use has curbside pickup. All employees wear masks and gloves, I just open the back of the Forester and they put the stuff in. All prepaid over the phone or online.

Part of the curbside-only policy in California too.

Still more of a pain to order online than in person at the Virginia ABC store. But they've made it so you can get in out in a flash because once you walk in, and employee asks what you want, fetches it and puts it on the register. Store is limited to like five customers at a time. If you order online, for some reason it takes two days to fulfill.

The liquor store I use also has pickup in their parking lot. They have four spots where you drive in, then you call them and tell them you're there.

You can also still go inside, with proper distancing.

Yeah, but $50 for 16 ounces?

They batch 'em so you get four for that price.

That's how it is in Alabama. Five at a time into the store. There are barriers up so all you can do is come in and make a turn to the register. You tell them what you want, they take it to the register, which has a sheet of glass between you and the register operator. You pay and leave. They make it physically impossible to get closer than six feet from anyone working there.

It’s a quarantine thing, so it goes here.

And I would happily watch an ongoing video of these until quarantine ends.

Something has snapped in me the last couple of hours.
For the first time since this started, I'm feeling the effects for a myriad of reasons.
My literal hand wringing the last little bit could turn a lump of coal into diamonds.

Make a stiff drink and go read something you enjoy that takes you far from this shit.
