    Judges.

    They thought they were going to get Jeb! or Marco Rubio as their nominee, and they knew that due to the ongoing demographic changes this is going to be their last dance for a long, long time. Whomever they got out of the 2016 process was going to be their guy come hell or high water, and the Republicans have been solidly in favor of consolidated unmatchable executive power since Nixon.

    And then they got stuck with a babbling dumbfuck.
