    Cannonball Run!?!

Sir, the "Coors to Georgia" movie was "Smokey and the Bandit." And I will not admit any sequels of that glorious film were ever made.

In 1972, my brother was in the Navy and stationed in Charleston, S.C. I went for a summer visit. My golf bag was filled with cans of Coors. He insisted.

Not really a question of whether you're willing to die to get your hair cut.

More a question of whether you're willing to kill to get your hair cut.

    Stay. The fuck. Home.

Bah. Muffed it. Hell, I lived there when "Smokey" was made. Old man brain fart. I need coffee.

If there were no sequels, we would have missed out on this.

My dad was a Marine aviator flying F-4 Phantoms.

They would do training flights from Yuma or wherever they were stationed, and the pilots used one of the external under-the-wing pods to store a travel bag or whatever.

He said there were 100 percent training flights to Colorado where that pod was filled for the flight home with Coors.

Wasn’t the plot they had 24 hours to get to Atlanta? Even before the freeway connection to Shreveport it couldn’t have been more than 10 hours tops.

And yes, it was a fantastic movie. Jackie Gleason owned it.
