Everything seemed almost back to normal at my local supermarket on Tuesday morning. There was plenty of toilet paper and even some cleaning products, though no Lysol. I found meat and cheese and lots of frozen stuff.

But on Thursday afternoon, the bare spots were back.

I guess it's all about timing. It seems like the earlier in the day one shops, the better. But I'm not waking up to wait in line at the supermarket! I'll leave that to the real essential workers -- though journalists are on the list in this state -- and seniors like Moddy. :p

My mom sent coupons for items that are already on sale, so I'm heading back out for more groceries shortly.

Different trucks come and go all day, it seems. The first day I found paper towels they were being stocked at about 1:30 p.m. Another time when the aisle was empty a cashier told me the truck would be arriving "shortly after noon." Didn't stick around to find out.

First practice session in my back yard hitting wiffle golf balls. It went OK, although I only hit my A wedge because it's not that big a yard. Neither is it pure turfgrass. Lots of moss. If the USGA really wants to make the Open impossible, it should replace the rough at Winged Foot with moss.

We (my wife, actually; daughter won't let me go anywhere) scored paper products by going early and lucking out. We haven't seen Lysol spray or Clorox wipes since this whole thing started.

There's been what amounts to a snipe hunt for the woman holding the "Sacrifice the Weak" sign.

My initial hot take: It's either satire or a Poe. Anyone vile and stupid enough to mean it isn't going to hide her face.

Since some of us have way too much time: Years ago, I went to the Plaza adjoining the Capitol and took pictures of the Occupy protesters. A casual glance at them says she could be one of two people in those photos. I've sent them to some friends who are going to pore over them and see if we have a match. Frankly, it's hard enough to explain to Trump to people. I'm not interested enough to cut into my knitting and Latin class time to look for this woman.

Thank you. It felt like I was the only one on my Twitter timeline shouting about how it was a Poe. The mask plus her being so perfectly positioned in front of a TV camera made it all feel too good (bad?) to be true.

    Poe?

Is that non-whackadoo slang for a "false flag?"

I'm intrigued about "the other Carolina" and wonder which one that is.

The one in which @BTExpress isn't. (For the record, I'm in SC.)
