Light "injections" and intravenous light therapy are actual things that people have experimented with since the 1980s, and in other forms for as much as a century. Whether they work or not is very much up for debate. The general consensus seems to be that it's alternative medicine at best, outright quackery at worst. But it does exist.
There has been some renewed research into it over the last five or 10 years to treat different ailments. These stories are from 2015-17.
There was another story I saw yesterday that was an NBC Washington story on using it to potentially treat Lyme Disease. It was just a quick hit medical piece from 2017 that has mysteriously been pulled down today.

Given the nature of transmission, not sure that's going to work.

Especially as regards testing and tracking.

Even at the state level, with 50 different plans, we're just going to keep reinfecting ourselves.

Light therapy is legit, say for psoriasis, and with a doctor's prescription, but it's limited and can be dangerous.

UVC light, which is what kills the virus, especially so.

yes this is exactly the informed context he was bringing to the discussion but everyone is so desirous for things to be worse just to fit in and look cool at the liquor store that they just jumped all over him we use bleach to disinfect water that we drink too but no everyone had to jump all over our president because they're eager to give aid and comfort to the invisible enemy

The person with absolute authority on everything and everyone must listen to him but must respect the decisions of governors that he could countermand but won't countermand because they can make their own decisions even if he's disagrees with them.

I think that in theory it is Dr. Blix, and her leadership in our hour of trial has been... negligible.

Well, the same could be said for a lot of treatments.
I'm mostly pointing out that the treatment exists, and there has even been some recent research into it. Trump didn't create it out of thin air when he mentioned it. Its safety and effectiveness is certainly questionable, although it might be worth looking at just like we should be looking at a lot of different ideas right now.

Researching essentially anything that might help is legit. Trump deciding that he is a great scientist and beating the drum at the bully pulpit for whatever was last mentioned to him isn't research. It's impulsive nonsense.

Sure. But there are things we probably shouldn't bother with.
