As others have said, I'm not sure it needs to be 10 parts, but during stay-at-home time, I'll take it.

This was an extremely smart move my ESPN. It was going to get a lot of eyeballs no matter what. It would have done well had it come out in June, as intended. But this is almost a literal captive audience.

It's a nice bit of nostalgia, especially for people around my age. My peak interest in the NBA was the mid-80s to 2000. I assume the peak time for most fans is from age 10ish to 25ish. So this is wheelhouse for me.

Assuming one of the next couple of parts will have a big chunk of the Dream Team. Looking forward to that.

One hour will be on his dad and another probably on baseball and his leaving.

Rather have one hour on MJ and ten hours on Sondheim.

I think I'll go over to the movie thread and talk about what a waste of time it is to watch movies.

I love the “I lived through it” nonsense.

Don't misunderstand, I just think ten hours is a lot of hours.

Count me in the camp who is loving this. I was never a huge Bulls fan but love the behind the scenes type stuff. I love the NBA but wasn’t super aware of what was going on that season as hockey still rules the airwaves up here and there was no social media to follow what was happening.

Have also been listening to the Jalen and Jacoby after show podcast with the director. Make this thing 20 hours as far as I’m concerned!

I was a huge NBA nerd at this time in my young adulthood. I remember Collins being shoved aside after the 1989 season but, in the short snippet world we lived in then, we never got a detailed explanation on why it happened. At least not nationally. Maybe there were a couple of sidebar pieces done in the Chicago Tribune or WGN News, but we didn't have access to those in Pittsburgh. As a 12-year-old, I always thought it was strange that they tossed aside a guy who had just gone to back-to-back Eastern Conference Finals. Had no idea about his lack of a relationship with Tex Winters that was coupled with a complete disinterest in his offensive system.

I’d watch 20 hours and I also “lived through it”.
