Knives Out is a classic murder mystery that was pretty darn good. It's not a perfect movie. I didn't care for it being set in Massachusetts, Daniel Craig's accent was quite jarring and one pivotal scene near the end didn't make sense. But, overall, it was pretty fun and the payoff at the end was worth it.

Bad Education is Oscar worthy as is Jackman and Janney.

It also adds just enough hypocrisy to the town of Roslyn to really make it thought provoking.

Any former food servers/restaurant workers out there?

Waiting... from 2005 with Ryan Reynolds and Justin Long and Anna Faris.

Over the top gross and raunchy (and certainly politically incorrect with respect to statutory rape and minors) BUT as a former dishwasher/food prep/busboy/waiter in a pretty nice restaurant in my 4 yrs of college, there are a great number of things about restaurant dynamics that the movie nails (Manager thinks he's a hot sh*t boss when in reality he (1) works much harder and (2) gets paid less per hour than the wait staff).

Bleak as it should have been. She got her wish: A family who acknowledged the depths of her grief.

I loved that movie for a few reasons. Great cast. Great use of So Cal movie ranches. The mashup of Western and horror -
And some of the dialogue. And Kurt Russell's facial hair.

    Chicory: That tea smells gruesome.

    Sheriff Franklin Hunt: It's soup.

Chicory: Oh. You think I can have some?

Chicory: Mr. Brooder just educated two Mexicans on the meaning of Manifest Destiny.

Samantha: This is why frontier life is so difficult. Not because of the Indians or the elements but because of the idiots.

Man - Patrick Swayze never owed anyone an apology for Road House. But this? B&D on wheels? And I could go a whole thread on compare/contrast Skatetown USA, Roller Boogie and Xanadu if you like. The Tubes, Linda Blair, Ruth Buzzi AND Billy Barty?

Supposedly that movie resulted in Maureen McCormick's relapse into cocaine. Not sure if it was during the making of Skatetown - or after it premiered.

I just looked at the cast list on IMDB, it's a crazy amount of 70s TV stars.

I bet you Swayze never was poor or at a loss of funds.

I'll give it 2020's version of high praise: I wish it was a Netflix series instead of a movie!

You’re comment really made me think. I think two hours was perfect. Some things don’t need hours.

Should Goodfellas be told over eight hours? It could be. I’m not sure I want to see that. I guess that is the beauty of writing and directing; this is how much time we need to tell the story.

Would Netflix be better to scrap the eight or ten format and just say this is a 5:48 show or 8:17?
