Trump has no shame, in abundance.

We’ve been over this. Maybe you forgot. Democrats can remove Biden and insert another candidate (it won’t be Sanders) before or at the convention. This is being openly discussed as a possibility.

    No, they can't.

They're not going to throw out what happened in the primaries. They just can't do it.

They hold primaries and the chips fall where they may. That's the way it's always been done.

Yes, they can choose to fracture the party about six months before the presidential election. If they remove Biden and don't give it to Sanders, that is the result.

Here's the thing. Why should Biden pull out over one accusation, or even two, when President Trump didn't pull out over at least 16 such accusations in 2016? The number is up around 20 right now. The Republicans can nominate someone else, too.

Sure they can. It's what they'd do if Biden dropped dead of a coronary. If suddenly evidence surfaced that warranted it, they'd hit the ejection seat and there would be a different nominee.

I just don't see that happening unless compelling evidence surfaces, and if there were any it would already be out there.

Totally fair question. Trump should withdraw, too, and we know that’s not going to happen.

Those accusations didn’t seem to hurt Trump, so they won’t now. The same could be argued about Biden, but it’s been reported that some Democratic politicians believe, fair or not, that the claim will be problematic.

Tara Reade allegations stir Democratic unrest

There’s also the argument that the party could lose long-term support if it so easily dismisses a very public sexual assault claim without further investigation.

So, it comes down to riding it out with Biden and hope he weathers the storm well or eventually removing him. You’re right that removing him and not replacing him with Sanders could fracture the party, so I understand if Democrats believe that’s too much of a risk. But I don’t understand denying that the accusation could be an issue.

teh media is hung up more on trying to get out of our president something he won't/can't give, and less on trying to parse science they are so desirous for this to be worse when they should realize that everyone is teh bad
