Fourteen states plus the District of Columbia reported their largest number yet of new infections per capita yesterday - but we're taking down the stay at home orders.

I read the tweet differently. I read it as the states with most new cases per one million population, not the states reporting their highest-to-date one-day total of new cases.

I read it as "most new cases per capita", expressed as a number of cases per million.

This is a godawful read. Combine what's in here with the article in today's WaPo that some of Trump's WH advisors think that they've spent too much money on the Covid response, it's terrifying.

Top White House advisers, unlike their boss, increasingly worry stimulus spending is costing too much
Conservatives are eyeing potential policies to reduce long-term budget impact but say Trump probably won’t go along

I think this is a list of yesterday's national leaders and not a list of the states that experienced their all-time, single-day highs.

We are at 80,001 deaths. The time between the 10k marks are getting shorter.

Every one of my clients will read that. I wish I had something stronger than chamomile tea for this coming week.

So Dr. Birx is our Ilse Koch?

Maybe stuff like this is OK. The more business that do crap like this, the more data we have in a few weeks just how dangerous it is.

It must have a decent incubation period before symptoms.

And I half wonder whether the coronavirus can bounce around in the immune system a long time before anything happens.

One of the first orders of business next January should be to revoke that bitch's medical license.
