One of the core arguments against Trump: he just ain't presidential material.

That would be so incredibly good for the country if he lost.

Fascinating logic. What about DAs in SEC states. Are they elected by a diverse populace?

I've never understood why Trump fears the release of his tax returns. What's the worst that could unearth? If he's guilty of tax fraud, why didn't the IRS come after him years ago? Let's say the release does expose massive tax fraud. Barr and SCOTUS will ensure he can pardon himself, thereby avoiding punishment. At least the judicial sort.
Any theories from people who know about these things?

The New York Times already published President Trump’s tax returns during the last election. They showed that he had cheated out of paying any taxes at all.

I don't understand any of the Trumpist disinterest in this issue. Particularly those up for re-election. If one of every three workers, which probably equates to one of every three eligible voters, is out of a job, wouldn't you want to do something to help them so you can get credit for it? That's the top advantage of incumbency.

The answer may be that Trumpists are like people trapped in an abusive relationship.

Joe Scarborough has been more wrong, and proven more wrong, than anyone at the network.
If I am under one sky with Trump on anything, it's that Scarborough is a fucking joke.
I heard Chris Matthews admit on a podcast the other day that he was out of touch.
It would be nice for Joe and Mika to do the same.

To repeat myself, McConnell is reflecting the Republican view that all they need to do is take care of their donors because standing as the party of white supremacy will gain them enough votes to win elections. And in Kentucky it does much more often than not.

If my neighborhood doesn't want me to exceed its 25 mph limit, it shouldn't have built the neighborhood on hills.

I love skeptical of big government Beau. Here he's talking about who pays McConnell, basing his list from OpenSecret.org's list of donations. In order to narrow things down and be fair, he's talking about companies and PACs who have donated $10k or more to the Turtle for five or more consecutive years. At least part of why McConnell does what he does is strongly indicated here.
