As Trumpists, they feel perpetually aggrieved.

I wonder how many times that unit is called into action in Buffalo in more normal times. A sixty-man unit is pretty damn big for a city Buffalo's size. Maybe it was just a way to isolate the department's 'roid freaks.

They were just following orders to shove an elderly man to the ground and ignore his head wound. It's unfair their brothers in blue are being persecuted for that.

I was at the Lake street area in Minneapolis today.

Dropped off donations and hauled away some things that needed to be removed. There were a mass of people helping.

Seeing families lined up at donation/distribution points was heartbreaking.

Pretty sweet gig if you can refuse to do the work you've been assigned and still draw that paycheck.

I've probably thought more about the aid-and-abet cops in recent days than the murderer, because I'd like to think, in that moment, I'm not someone just watching that. I'm getting in a screaming match with Chauvin, or I'm reasoning with him (hey, these folks here, they have cameras on us, get off his neck), whatever it took to get him off his neck.

That's a character moment for all three of those guys, and they failed, badly. Chauvin's the worst of them, of course, but the other three, the ones with most direct power to stop it, didn't.
