I live in Richmond city but my gym is in Henrico County about seven minutes from the house. Henrico went into Phase 2, so I went to the gym. They can only operate at 30 percent capacity so they were checking people in and out to keep an accurate count. It's a pretty open floorplan with high ceilings, and they've installed a new airflow system that claims to kill airborne viruses. Things I noticed: Some equipment was closed for sanitation; a lot of the cardio equipment was closed for distancing. Only one out of three treadmills was open, for instance. Peeked in the spin class room and the amount of bikes was cut by half. In the locker room, only one of every three lockers was open for use. Probably about as safe as you can expect given the circumstances.

I haven't gone a week without lifting -- much less three months -- since I was about 18, so today was a welcome struggle. I'm going to be sore as hell tomorrow and I'm so happy about that.

The pool at my health club opens on Monday. Haven't been able to swim since March 17. I might go three times a day!

Judging by the results of the Lake of the Ozarks get-together, water kills the virus!

Based on the pictures, I'd bet there have always been germs in that place capable of kicking the ass of any newbie virus seeking to horn in on their action.

Things I will not do as a person with high vulnerability to the virus no matter how things open up. 1. Casinos. 2. Demonstrations. 3. Gyms
Things I would consider doing. 1. Outdoor dining at a restaurant. 2. Finally getting haircut. 3. Shopping at actual store. I mean I already go to the liquor and grocery stores. It doesn't take long to buy pants if you know your size.
Things I have already done. Play golf.
Thing I have to do and am not too happy about. Echocardiogram at Mt. Auburn hospital in two weeks. I'm sure they've done everything to make the place safe, and I will still be most uneasy.

The only thing I've done from your list is Costco, once.

I see your Echocardiogram and raise you a colonoscopy.

I've got that on board, too, but for whatever reason that doctor has yet to give me the makeup date yet. At least for that the drugs will remove my anxiety. I've done all shopping because my wife has significant asthma. Liquor store has curbside pickup. All I do is open the tailgate.

To my ever loving surprise, I'm told Fall Parks and Rec football signups will start next week.

After cooking or reheating every day since March 13, I said screw it, I want a pizza. I am sitting outside and enjoying the view and a tall Stella at my favorite pizza place on Clearwater Beach
