Nice strategic placing of the 5-6 non-white faces.

    Man.

It really pains me to see them all packed in and unmasked, but I appreciate the example set by the Trump campaign.

Voting through polling places clearly doesn't work, is rife with problems and corruption.

I'm sure all of the down ballot Republicans looking forward to the GOP convention to rally support, keep the Senate etc. are thrilled with the pared down convention - at least now they won't have to appear tied to Trump.

I like my military bases named after people who WON their wars.

They were having trouble finding people who WANTED to be Republican delegates in some states. If you've never been to a national convention of either party, they ain't Woodstock, more like the Villages on a four day pass.

Out in Utah, Jon Huntsman is locked in a tight battle for the Trumpist nomination -- and therefore the whole ball of beeswax -- for governor. Just announced he has the virus. Primary is in three weeks. Talk about a wild combo. He's 60. Will he get the sympathy vote? I'm guessing he wouldn't have won anyway because he dared oppose Trump, who is overwhelming popular even though Romney has opposed him. Romney's approval is now underwater.

Please show work with those number claims. Not saying they're wrong, but numbers in a numbers post are helpful.

Either he’s rethinking every life choice he’s made that led him to this point or he desperately needs to go to the bathroom before he craps all over himself like Dear Leader. Quite possibly both are true.

Braxton Bragg was the Confederate equivalent of John Pope or Ambrose Burnside. Totally incompetent, and unpopular to boot. Hood was a fighter, but he helped the North win by bleeding out his army in hopeless attacks against superior forces at Atlanta, Franklin and Nashville.

There are also army installations named after A.P. Hill and George Pickett. Hill was average at best, and Pickett is known for the two biggest defeats in Confederate battle history, Pickett's Charge and the complete and utter rout at Five Forks, where he was at a shad feed while his division was torn to pieces and essentially taken out of the war , ending the siege of Petersburg.

This poll is Trumpist party primary voters only, which may represent a difference from the entire population but is still a decent predictor of the gubernatorial primary.
Two-thirds of Utahns who intend to vote in the June 30 primary say they somewhat or strongly support the job Trump is doing in the White House, while about 30% disapprove of his performance, a survey by The Salt Lake Tribune/Suffolk University found.

Meanwhile, Romney, who has sparred with the president of lateand voted to remove him from office for abuse of power in the impeachment trial, is under water with the Republican crowd in Utah. Nearly 50% of those polled disapprove of Romney’s job in office while about 42% give him good marks.

Poll: Utah GOP primary voters back President Trump, disapprove of Sen. Mitt Romney

Hill and Hood were both better before being elevated up the command structure. Hood especially was the wrong guy to command an army in 1864 (maybe his aggression plays better in 1862?).

Pope and Burnsides were buffoons. Burnsides’ stall on the North bank of the Rappahannock in November 1862 is unforgivable.

Bragg clearly had a toxic personality. Bragg’s 1862 campaign was an utter waste. His inability to get up an attack against Rosecrans when the Union Army was divided is a great “what if” of the war. ... and his defense of Missionary Ridge was stunningly bad (especially if you’ve ever been to Chattanooga - the Rebs couldn’t defend THAT position???).

That was certainly a paradox of Civil War generalship. One never knew how a commander would perform until given a chance to command.

A.S. Johnston’s reputation benefited by him dying so early; he never had a chance to disappoint.
