    I’m not saying renaming the bases is the most pressing need, but is the official line of the administration that to do so would be to dishonor the troops who were stationed there?

    Seems pretty easy - you just rename them after Generals and perhaps enlisted people (Tillman?) more popular and more current. Some Medal of Honor recipients, a woman perhaps. There are plenty of righty generals and such out there that would stifle any protest.

    John McCain was only a war hero because he was captured, and Trump doens't like people who were captured.

    Trump is all about winning

    Braxton Bragg, on other hand, who was part of a losing force, is generally considered one of the worst generals in the Civil War, needs his name on a military installation, because "These Monumental and very Powerful Bases have become part of a Great American Heritage, and a... ....history of Winning, Victory, and Freedom."
