    Very random note ... I played golf with a few guys from that band once. Was at my home course in Florida and got paired with three strangers who didn't exactly fit the stuffy golf template. Made some small talk on the first tee ... "what do you guys do?" "We're in a band ... Slightly Stoopid?" "Oh, cool." Had zero idea who or what that was. But we had a fun round.

    It has also occurred to me we talk about this thing more than any deity, these days.

    The Emperor Caligula also thought he was a god. He was eventually corrected on that notion.

    Fort Bragg should be renamed for Chargin' Charlie Beckwith, who was instrumental in the formation and mission of the Army Special Forces and the creator of Delta Force. Bragg is a major Special Forces training base. I don't think that there's a damn soul in the Army who would oppose honoring Beckwith in this manner.

    After what we've put up with for the past four years, topped by the Maraschino cherry of criminally negligent genocide, I think a little schadenfreude doesn't hurt anything.
