There's a certain rough logic to this chart, but I question many of its assumptions, which don't seem to account for circumstances at all. How is camping, which can be done with plenty of spacing and in state parks at least, with mandatory means of enforcing it such as limiting parking spaces, be as risky as a library with everyone's grubby paws on all those books? Walking in a busy downtown? This is unavoidable for people who live in big cities. Wear a mask. Do these good doctors account for mask usage? They don't say.

Mask use is pretty widespread in Colorado, at least indoors, and it does seem like areas where that is the case have been doing OK. Also, our activity this time of year, while it can get crowded in areas, is much more spread out outdoors than everyone being slammed on a beach, for example. That said, I am very much in knock on wood mode.

I will be basing it on my understanding through the news and various podcasts.

Then spare us your (lack of) expertise and post it on your own BLOG!

I do not have a blog, unfortunately. That was a good suggestion, however.

I agree with the doctors that there is no risk to tennis.

Yes, most likely correct. And as Michael pointed out, lots easier to social distance at the campgrounds. I'm with you too, though, knocking on wood. It has gotten A LOT better even with the reopenings.

Also interesting that there have not been huge outbreaks in Montezuma and La Plata counties, which are near the Navajo reservation in Arizona that has been hit very, very hard.

Again, just my anecdotal evidence. Drove six hours from Richmond to Charleston yesterday. At the convenience stores along 95 (ie rural areas) no one is masking. At my friend’s restaurant in the city, they were taking it super seriously. And as much of a bar guy as I am, I’m really enjoying patio life at restaurants these days.

Knowing how some people camp in my area, I think you'd be surprised. It's dirty for one, but sites are on top of each other in a lot of places and if groups go and mingle it could be messy. If just a single family went (which I think is the rule in Colorado but I know many not following it) then sure it's probably not a whole lot different than hanging out in your backyard. But I see it being risky.

My sister's family camps a lot (almost every weekend) and she said it hasn't been too bad.

Yes, the rules are only camp with members of your household in your local region.
