What a tagline.

 

A vaccine that doesn't work would be disproved within 48 hours, and there wouldn't be enough empty prison cells for those involved. At least, that's the way I'd think it would unfold in America.

 

"Pretend nothing has happened and hope everything turns out all right in the morning."

 

If Trump wins, they all slide. If Trump loses, they're all pardoned at 11:59 a.m. EST on Jan. 20, 2021.

I was surprised that it was only three. Like I suggested earlier, Gorsuch flipped, and that gave Roberts cover to go with the majority and avoid another 5-4 result.

 

The "textualists" seem to have no problem stretching their philosophy when it suits their purpose. And it bugs me that their idea of "the law" is that if you want a case to go your way, you better have the better attorney.

 

That's backwards in one respect. If Trump wins and then the vaccine fails, THAT'S when they'll need to be pardoned most. Although a pardon doesn't help much against a lynch mob.

 

I write this often about a lot of things. But think about how batshit it is that the president made a relatively innocent slip of the tongue and then the wheels of government had to rapidly turn to try to show that he was correct rather than for him to lose any face.

 

That's what happens when you run government like a business.
