The guy just got charged with more than Derek Chauvin did.

The two minutes after Brooks was shot must be echoes of Chauvin.

    Robert E. Lee
    Arthur Ashe

One of them was a slave holder. And a traitor to the United States of America
One of them was an honorable representative to the United States in international competitions

/very fine people on both sides

My point was never about Lee and Ashe or Coke and Pepsi.
My point was if anyone thought there wouldn't be retaliation, they were kidding themselves.

I'm all for piling on additional charges for stupidity on top of bigotry. If you're a cop and you don't recognize that the world has changed since Minneapolis and that you should be extra cautious when dealing with anybody not armed with a lethal weapon, you can't be shocked when the bill seems a bit high.

It's tough to be a Trumpist sports fan these days.
First, NASCAR took away your flag. Then college football players had the gall to push back against coaches' tone deafness (or worse). And now the lord and savior is saying that evil son of a bitch Kaepernick should be able to play again if he's good enough. Is nothing sacred?

F*ck the retaliation; bring it on, this time without hoods. Enough with the worry about repercussions, the people have had enough with standing by and watching.

Trumpist sports fans have something to watch.

    You don't.

    Who's having it tough again?

Mad respect for Patterson Hood. Fine piece.

I have to ask, what do you mean by this? Are you for retaliating, as long as there are no hoods, or no? Are you advocating not caring about repercussions, and thereby, you're fine with, inevitably, making things worse?

Maybe I misunderstood the post. My context was that the defacing of the Ashe statute was in retaliation of the protests over the Confederate and other racial statutes; then the thought was there would be repercussions from the initial protest. I then made my comment within that context. If they want to retaliate, bring it on, just show your face without hiding behind the (KKK) hood.
