    I keep hearing variations on that from baseball writers. We need baseball back to save us all from the dreariness of our lives, sweeping us away in the national pastime in this time of turmoil.

    It ain't 1955. I don't care if MLB comes back. (And truth be told, I've watched more KBO baseball this year than I've watched MLB in the past five years combined. It's weird watching baseball by people who appear to be enjoying themselves.)

    That's why I limit my attendance to high school, college and summer league wood-bat games. Same great game. No feuding players and owners.
