Also, would Biden really have an "extremist Democrat administration?"

To the GOP, just the mere existence of the Democratic Party is extremist.

Among Trumpism's vestiges -- whenever it ends -- will be the exaggeration and demonization of everything to the left of Trump. For this reason, the GOP is planning its attack strategy for the next cycle after its presidential defeat -- whenever that is. The attack campaign begins the morning after the election and plants seeds of contempt to rile up the klan. If Biden wins, he's got two years to achieve whatever he can. Then it all gets gummed up again.

Can someone explain what this means? They send it back to the lower court for what purpose? A lower court already had these cases. What's the lower court supposed to do with a case it's already had?

I think you are underestimating the amount school districts are going to need from the federal government this year (and that is why trump has given DeVos a fund to distribute to school districts, and why they think they can bully them into opening.)

The extraordinary amount of money schools will need to reopen anywhere near safely has yet to be appropriated by Congress, and if it is, you can be sure the bill will include language specifically removing any discretion Trump or DeVos would have about disbursing it.

The SJ legal eagles can correct me if I’m wrong, but in the NY case, Trump’s people can continue to make appeals as to why the tax returns shouldn’t be released to the prosecutors. But they can’t use the “He’s President of the USA and it’s too hard for him,” defense as the reason why. They need a different reason that a court would find legal.

The Supreme Court did everything it could, it was able to determine constitutional questions, in the Vance (NY) case "can Trump say he's president as a basis to quash (stop) the subpoena" and the SCOTUS said NO. SCOTUS procedurally then says to lower court, "we answered the question, proceed accordingly." That's what this means. The lower courts have already ruled/dispensed with all the other BS objections. Its time to pay the piper.

Michael Cohen, the two-bit lawyer who once threatened a journalist's life, has been re-arrested. The plot thickens.
