Was very much looking forward to Penn State-Virginia Tech but I had already come to grips with the fact that college football isn't happening in any form this fall, so I'm fine.

Yup, just the beginning. Several D3 schools and conferences already starting to opt out. I think D2 will follow and likely FCS. IF there's college football, it will be the P5 conferences -- and likely 10 games, conference only.

I could see the likes of Central Florida, Louisville, Houston, Memphis, Birmingham and a handful of those schools left out of the inner circle also trying to cobble together a sixth "conference" in order to maintain possible bowl/postseason status. The key would be landing some additional TV money to survive losing Power 5 guarantees if ESPN needs to replace the MAC/mid-major games.

Again, the whole thing is a house of cards. We're six weeks away and nobody has a good answer.

Just bump this shit to spring and make college football the USFL for a year.

Some of those schools are in the American Conference.

With an abbreviated regular season, I doubt there will be bowls.

    Louisville is in the ACC.

The ACC can't do it. That would strike five games off the schedule of Notre Dame, which is still a member in everything else it plays and the ACC sponsors.

This is the perfect time to strong arm Notre Dame into a conference and these cowards won’t do it.

They can buck it up for one season. Or play home-and-home with the other independents: Army, BYU, Liberty, Massachusetts and New Mexico State.

Already lost a game against Wisconsin at Lambeau.

There were a couple of big-time matchups scheduled here in the Northwest this fall (Michigan at Washington, Ohio State at Oregon) that obviously will be scrapped.

Even worse, as far as financial impact, are teams like Northern Iowa, Illinois State and the various MAC schools who were scheduled to play a B1G football game. That's a big financial hit for those schools.
