I don't understand what Haley thinks her political future is. Running for Graham's seat at some point? Bridging the gap between the Trump and never Trumper wings for a Presidential run? It's just a tweet, but its still an unforced error. She did a solid job uniting SC after the church shooting, but her moves since then have been pretty poorly concieved.

So the Republican plan is now to have the convention in Jacksonville outside, at the AA ball park. Because my late parents retired to Ponte Vedra Beach, I have been to Jacksonville in late August. They are gonna have more than one delegate pass from heat stroke, unless they're lucky enough to have the whole thing broken up by killer thunderstorms.

 

It's spherical and pointy at parts.

The last time I saw a head that big was the guy on Real World Chicago who went on to co-host NFLN's bad morning talk show.

That assumes Pence would have been any better. I’m not sure either way. He has experience, but doing the right thing in this case would have required him to urge his klan’s governors to resist the urge to reopen. He has never displayed a spine. Hard to know if he would have demonstrated leadership with Trump gone.

 

Pence is extremely stupid, but he's been around the block enough times to know that trying hard to contain the virus is good politics, something Trump doesn't get, since in his mind the virus is a cartoon germ with Nancy Pelosi's face on it that's just out to get him.
