And, as we know, it became a huge hit when Whitney Houston recorded it, and Dolly got to keep all the songwriting money.

Got in the car today and Elvis' Suspicious Minds was on the radio, and it jogged a memory.

When my younger sister got married 25 or so years ago, her husband-to-be wanted that song to be played as they walked up the aisle at the conclusion of the ceremony, just because of the opening lyrics: "We're caught in a trap/I can't walk out."

 

Yes, maybe his best song, IMHO. Eddie Rabbit wrote it, right?
