Can we stop with this continuing to call retired coaches “coach?” All of Tuberville’s ads refer to him as “coach Tuberville.” It’s weird and gives way too much reverence to people who really are just glorified gym teachers. We don’t continue calling retired cops “officer,” or retired pilots “captain.” Knock this corniness off.

Walmart and Sam's to require masks nationwide starting Monday.
That should be fun in the red states where there is nowhere else to shop.

I gave up coaching duties years ago, but at school I am still known as Coach. Heck, none of the students in our school were even in high school the last time I was technically coaching a sport.

That's a great way to describe it. A similar thought occurred to me while I was talking about things with my cousin last night. He and his wife and children are all still in Pittsburgh and were were comparing how things are being handled there as opposed to New York. Pennsylvania is a lot more divided and there seems to be a lot of anger toward Gov. Wolfe, while New Yorkers in general seem to be supportive of Gov. Cuomo. It's interesting to hear that there are a lot of people in Pittsburgh pushing back against the shut downs because the area is politically very blue. Then again, that is a lot of people who are conservative otherwise, but fiercely pro-union.

My point being even some of those 50 countries aren't united.

One of my social studies teachers in high school had been the school's head football coach for a while. Even though that was before any of us got there, all of the students called him coach. He was one of my more colorful teachers and very well-liked, though if he is still around, I have no doubt that he is an unrelenting Trumpist.
