Isn't it funny how Trumpists, who have spent the past several decades fomenting about libruhl indoctrination at guvmint schools, suddenly want schools to open before a medical consensus is reached?

Schools are vital to a functioning economy. A functioning economy is more important than anything else. Thus, schools must be open. This is the Trumpist thought process.

And if the schools are not safe, tough titty. We have to open the economy.

One of Trump's few remaining very loyal groups is non college educated white women. How do you think that returning their children to school without a well thought out plan for their safety is going to play with them? He's already lost suburban college educated women, but this will further alienate and energize them as well.

If you're still a Trumpist, you have decided that loyalty to Trump is the most important thing in your life. More important than the health of yourself and your family.

Not me. Third Saturday in April just doesn't cut it.

A lot more than are given credit for. A small percentage of superspreaders (many of them young non-"Trumpists") congregated in crowded places and made it worse for everyone.

It is absolutely true that most people around here are avoiding indoor dining, even though it's permitted. Bars still closed in Mass.

And yet they also think schools are liberal think tanks

Libruhl indoctrination centers that are killing Amurrrrica. But we've got to open the schools, Trump says in the next breath.

That’s why he wants them open. So libruhls can get sick and die.

It has nothing to do with education. To them, the schools are warehouses for children that allow both parents to work to try and make ends meet. That's it.
